Winning the outstanding achievement award throughout the entire MBA programme was much more than Paul Kwong expected.

'It was quite competitive and there were a lot of people with good qualifications and experience,' he said.

Coming from an engineering background in the construction industry, Mr Kwong now manages a Hong Kong office which recently underwent significant restructuring. He said the programme gave him many of the skills that helped him through the restructuring phase.

'Technically I'm OK, but I've always felt I needed to have a balance to have a career and I felt an MBA was one way to get this education,' he said, adding that developing analytical skills and people skills were some of the most important lessons learnt.
