by Mick Foley
Funny, disturbing and inspiring gems like this don't come along often. It's set in the 1980s among the American white underclasses, where everyone wears a mullet haircut, and the biggest bully in town is the high school football coach. Antietam 'Andy' Brown V is 17 and has lived in foster homes most of his life. He has gone to live with his father, Antietam 'Tietam' Brown IV, for the first time. Tietam tries to be a father to Andy. He gives him advice on women, a subject he's an expert on. In the basement he keeps hundreds of pairs of panties hanging from ropes, souvenirs from every girl he's 'Tietamized'. Is his father an angel or a demon? Andy isn't sure. Mick Foley is a huge star in the world of wresting, providing his book with much publicity, but his writing is strong enough on its own.
