Art of choice

Calling all art consultants, interior designers, architects and decorators. The Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA) and Chouinard Gallery Hong Kong (a division of Sin Sin Fine Art) are holding a joint event titled 'Art For The Interior' from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Friday. The first occasion of its kind to be held by the two sponsors, it will feature a talk by art restorer and consultant A. Bobby Mohseni, who will offer advice on selecting quality art and sculptures for corporate and residential projects. The gallery (1 Prince's Terrace, Mid-Levels, tel: 2858 5072; www.chouinard
gallery.com.hk) will simultaneously showcase abstract works by Southeast Asian artists such as Ann New, Deng Xiao Hong and Sun Guangyi from China and Indonesian artist I Gusti Ngurah Buda, a top-30 finalist of this year's Sovereign Art Foundation competition.
