Big names in the field to grace Image Hong Kong '93 International
HONG Kong photographers have an inspiring event to look forward to when some of the world's leading photographers arrive here for a special four-day programme.
They are gathering for the ''Image Hong Kong '93'' International Photographers' Meet, co-presented by the Hong Kong Tourist Association (HKTA) and Kodak (Far East) Limited. The event takes place from October 30 to November 2.
The major international photographers' get-together was pioneered by the HKTA in 1990. The event features a wide range of photography-centred activities targeted at professional and serious amateur photographers internationally.
Activities include masterclass seminars held in English and supplemented with Cantonese, said Mr Mason Hung Chung-hing, manager of the Product Development Department of the HKTA, he added.
Other activities include critical appreciation classes, workshops, panel discussions, photo shoots, exhibitions, studio visits, competitions and social functions.
Mr Hung said that this year's meet would be graced by the presence of around six ''master'' photographers from around the world.
