Aluminium has gone back to school at its new Wan Chai shop (58 Queen's Road East, entrance on Landale Street, tel: 2577 4066). Boasting interiors reminiscent of a British institution - complete with arch entrances and wooden doors - the store is home to an eclectic collection that combines old and new schools of design. Items include the Good Form Chair ($2,999), designed in the 1930s but still popular today, and the Sting Chair (right; $3,999) by Fredrik Mattson and Stefan Borselius, which marries engineering know-how and functionalism.
