Piggy one to bank on soon

STAYER Miss Piggy put in a top run in the final event last night and is primed now for a win over a suitable distance at Sha Tin.

Miss Piggy finished third at his first run of the season and he really seems to have found his feet in Hong Kong. This strong run over an unsuitable distance on equitrack marked him down as one to be on very soon.

Miss Piggy requires around 2,000 metres to be fully effective but could be followed in a 1,800-metre event. With trainer Wong Tang-ping's team in good early-season form, the English import is one to keep very firmly in mind.

And the Lawrie Fownes-trained Little Big Horn is going to win an equitrack race very quickly.

His work had suggested he might not be quite ready for the fifth event last night but he gave a great sight when eventually finishing third to Hammerhead.

The equitrack is really what this fellow needs and he is ready to strike a major blow when next he steps out on the Valley synthetic surface. He is going to be very hard to beat.

And the surface seems to be what Colours Hero is after. He ran very wide on the home turn in the fourth event but still ran on out wide to take third place having looked to be bolting in the run.

He will have taken no harm from this run and can be followed in a similar event next time.
