Impressions of temple street

What happens when hypermedia combines with the fortune-telling culture on Temple Street? The answer can be found at an exhibition at Shanghai Street Artspace.

Fortune Telling features the multimedia reflections of 17 visual art teachers studying at the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd).

Led by HKIEd lecturer Clive Ng Mau-wai, the teachers conducted studies and discussions of art theories before embarking on their Temple Street adventure. They express their ideas through hypermedia such as comics, photographs, textual design and computer animation.

Fortune Telling is now on display at Shanghai Street Artspace, 404 Shanghai Street, Yau Ma Tei (near exit A1 of Yau Ma Tei MTR station) until September 26 (Tuesday to Sunday, 11am-8pm). For enquiries, call 2770 2157 or visit www.shout-art.org
