Shenzhen districts

A map of Shenzhen's six main districts paints a clear picture of its natural attractions: between the densely populated pockets, there is an abundance of green. Official statistics show that 43 per cent of Shenzhen!|s land area is covered by vegetation, and in some areas, life can be pretty much as pastoral as it was a quarter-century ago.

The southern end of the Longgang district offers stretches of unspoilt seashore, with beautiful bays suitable for swimming, surfing and beachcombing; up north, mountains and forests wait to be explored. And while the most that many visitors will ever see of the Bao!|an district is the road from the airport into town, this vast area has farmland, mountains, and some of the best hot springs in southern China. Even the Luohu district, better known for urban sprawl, boasts mountains, parks, and one of the nicest botanical gardens in Asia. Here we list just a few of the best spots to visit.
