Mid-Autumn carnivals of colour will light city parks

Four carnivals and a lantern display across the city will mark next week's Mid-Autumn Festival.


Chinese music, dance and acrobatic performances, instrumental concerts, arts shows and fortune-telling will feature.


A lantern exhibition opens tomorrow in Kowloon Park and runs until October 24.


The New Territories East Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival will be held at Sha Tin Park on Monday from 7.30pm. On Tuesday, the Hong Kong Island Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival will be held from 8pm in Victoria Park.


The Kowloon Region Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival, from 7.30pm, on Wednesday will be at Ko Shan Road Park and Ko Shan Theatre. The New Territories West Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival, also on Wednesday starts at 7.30pm at the Sha Tsui Road playground in Tsuen Wan.
