League's ballet benefit

The Royal Over-Seas League will soon be playing a part in art.

A fund-raising party and buffet dinner will be hosted by Hari Harilela on Tuesday at his family's Kowloon Tong mansion.

The dinner costs $450 a head and proceeds will go to the Hong Kong Ballet.

But don't expect to be admitted without a costume.

'People are encouraged to turn up in exotic attire. There will be prizes for the best outfits. Use your imagination,' says Paul Surtees, the league's Hong Kong founder and president.

One party perk will be reduced-price tickets to the performance of Swan Lake at the Cultural Centre on October 17 by the Hong Kong Ballet.
