Kerry gets lavish with luxury services in value-added drive

Kenneth Ko

KERRY PROPERTIES IS offering increasingly sophisticated and personalised services to residents staying at its luxury portfolio to meet their expectations for better quality living.

The group has established a new brand, Kerry Residence, to better pamper its tenants with all-embracing services.

Lily Choi, senior marketing manager of its subsidiary Kerry Real Estate Agency, said it was adopting a personal, caring approach, especially for families, to add value rather than focusing on only necessary formalities such as daily cleaning.

'In this respect, we have expanded and strengthened our team by providing more training for staff,' she said.

Under the umbrella of Kerry Residence are four prestigious properties - Aigburth, Tavistock, Branksome Grande and Branksome Crest - in Mid-Levels.

The philosophy behind the brand was to provide more than an apartment but a home where tenants had a congenial environment meticulously packaged with optimum services, facilities, ambience and quality of life, Ms Choi said.

As part of its enhancement, it recently launched a 24-hour hotline service covering Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing, offering Kerry Residence tenants added convenience when travelling.

'Quite a number of our tenants who are doing business in major cities on the mainland need good quality services, not just in Hong Kong,' said Ms Choi.

With Kerry's strong business network in those cities, the company felt obliged to give full support to this group of frequent travellers so they could be well looked after, she said.

'They can call up the hotline for services such as emergency help, medical referral, booking of hotel rooms, limousine service and shopping and dining arrangements.'

Tenants at Branksome Crest, a recently completed luxury development in the group's portfolio on Tregunter Path, are among those able to enjoy the privileged service.

Branksome Crest has 64 units, comprising 60 standard apartments, two garden duplexes, one simplex and a penthouse duplex. The luxurious apartments are being leased at between $38 and $54 per square foot a month.

Most units were leased and she expected the development to be fully leased early next year.

From January to the middle of this month, occupancy at Kerry Properties' Mid-Levels portfolio rose 20 per cent to reach 97 per cent overall. 'Prospects look positive for the coming year. Major tenants are from banks, pharmaceutical, insurance and IT companies,' Ms Choi said.

'The flourishing Chinese economy is attracting more businessmen from those industries to tap new business opportunities on the mainland.'

She said Hong Kong remained an ideal home for businessmen and professionals looking for quality accommodation with comprehensive services.

High-quality value-added services were a key attraction that helped retain tenants and made units quick and easy to lease.

'We are able to keep a waiting list for some units and sometimes pre-lease units before the expiry of rental contracts. This helps cut short the period of time when flats are left vacant between leases.'

In addition to the 24-hour hotline service, upcoming highlights include private hair-dressing and massage services, ordering haute couture and a booking service for attending fashion shows and film previews.
