HK teams keep trophies at home

Local teams dominated the ICHOR Hong Kong invitational cricket festival yesterday, with Little Sai Wan (LSW) winning the event, Six in the City taking the women's title and Hong Kong University winning the Plate. Pakistan Association won the Bowl for the Third Division.

After three days of six-a-side matches at Choi Hung's Po Kong Village Road ground, LSW met the Sub Continentals in the final.

Moner Ahmed became the destructive batsman of the tournament when he hit 33 off 10 balls to help his side to 87 runs for two wickets from their five overs. Sub Continentals hit 63 in reply.

Six in the City scored 81 and restricted hot favourites Sakura Japan to 35. Pakistan Association also hit 87 in their final. Their opponents, India's Gauhati, started with three sixes and a four off the first four balls but fell for 67. HKU scored 95 and restricted the Hong Kong Cricket Club Casuals to 79 in the Plate final.
