Residents of Kennedy Road stage a protest yesterday outside the Town Planning Board's offices against Hopewell Holdings' plans to build a $4-billion hotel in Wan Chai.

The board was scheduled to discuss the so-called Mega Tower project, but postponed the meeting at Hopewell's request.

The hotel would be the city's biggest, comprising two towers on Queen's Road East and Ship Street. About 70 protesters joined the rally at the North Point Government Offices.
