Esteemed radio-maker Roberts Radio has been providing discerning listeners with a stylish way to access the airwaves for more than 70 years. Its designs have endured the test of time, gaining a loyal following and three royal warrants (awarded for being a preferred supplier to the British royal family) in the process. It is perhaps fitting then that the company has teamed with iconic British designer Paul Smith to produce a limited edition of its distinctive 'revival' radio ($4,860). Each hand-crafted radio, fashioned in a nostalgic 1950s style, comes encased in the finest calf leather, which has been given a unique twist by the designer. Nottingham-born Smith, celebrated for the classic British cut of his suits and flamboyant use of colour, has worked on two exclusive designs: one printed with the characteristic and vibrant Paul Smith 'multi-stripe' (pictured), the other with the equally vivid 'swirl stripe'.
