Lamma Island will offer a day of family fun on Sunday to raise money for children in Nepal.

Now in its fifth year, the Lamma Fun Day has been working together with Nepal's Child Welfare Scheme. More than $40,500 was raised last year.

Over the past three years, funds raised have been used to sponsor 10 deprived students at the Job Youth Opportunity Training Institute - from their first day until they graduated.

The event has also raised money for the construction of a daycare centre in the village of Damaigaon, Nepal.

Sunday's programme features live band performances, drumming, a circus school, face-painting, a flea market and food and drink stalls on Tai Wan To (Power Station Beach). It runs from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free. For details, visit
