Hong Kong WinterFest returns today with new attractions.

Featuring the theme 'Love and Care', the event will transform Statue Square in Central into Santa's Town, with Hong Kong's tallest outdoor Christmas tree and a romantic Mistletoe Boulevard.

Visitors will be able to see snowflakes float through the air at the Snowy Chapel, which will also serve as a stage for performances, including Britain's Winchester College Chapel Choir.

Santa Claus will greet and pose for pictures with visitors in Santa's Lodge every evening from 6pm to 11pm. Children can also put their name on Santa's gift list.

Christmas wishes sent via SMS and the internet will be displayed on a giant screen at Statue Square. They can also send their wishes to families and friends at Santa's Post Office, or write them on wishing tags and hang them on one of the wish-making Christmas trees in Santa's Town.

During weekends and public holidays, children can take part in Santa's workshops which include bakery classes which will teach them how to make gingerbread and festive cookies.
