Customs seize $2m worth of suspected cocaine at airport

Updated at 6.30pm: Customs officers have seized $2 million worth of suspected cocaine from a 33-year-old Filipina - who arrived in Hong Kong on Sunday night, a spokesman said on Monday.

The woman had entered the territory from Brazil - after travelling through France, he said.

The suspected dangerous drugs seized weighed about 2.5 kilograms, the spokesman said.

Further details of the case were not available on Monday afternoon.

Police have expressed concern about the increase of drug-trafficking and drug-related crimes in recent years in Hong Kong.
