What price is too high for a good action shot? While filming a battle scene on the grasslands west of Beijing recently, actor Jackie Chan was thrown off a horse and aggravated an old hip injury.
Reports say that he was rushed back to his hotel on a stretcher, rested for a bit and then insisted on resuming with the shoot - another prize blooper for the outtakes DVD. Given that part of Chan's allure is his willingness to put his body on the line (although you could say the same about Hsu Chi), the producers are getting good value out of our beloved stuntman.
Of course, he has hurt himself on the job before, one time cracking his head shooting Armour of God. Apparently he has a plastic plug in his skull from that last injury. Let's hope the fall from the horse didn't shake it loose.
