Karen mok adds yet another charity to her workload
CitySeen was speechless when we received a fax informing us that Canto-pop star Karen Mok Man-wai has agreed to be ambassador for yet another charity.
She was last week named as an envoy for epilepsy charity Enlighten Hong Kong. This latest duty comes in addition to her roles as a Unicef ambassador for poverty alleviation and spokeswoman for both the Hong Kong Cancer Foundation and Children's Cancer Fund. Animal-lover Mok often serves as the voice of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and was recently appointed China bear rescue ambassador for the Animals Asia Foundation, an organisation set up to save Asiatic black bears, or moon bears, from bile farming. She also helped launch Operation Santa Claus.
The 34-year-old beauty is, out of the younger generation of stars, the most active in the charity field.
This is an energy she undoubtedly inherited from her philanthropist mother, Eleanor Morris. CitySeen is thoroughly impressed with her dedication to helping create a better world. Where she finds the time to record albums, make movies and keep that hair so shiny beats us. Keep up the good work!
