Heep Yunn, Lions to seek spot in semis

Heep Yunn School and Lions College will clash in today's All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Volleyball Tournament 2004-05 for a place in the semi-finals.

In yesterday's second round at Tsing Yi Sports Centre, Heep Yunn defeated St Clare's Girls' School 25-21, 23-25, 15-10, while Lions College surprised last year's third runner-up Tack Ching Girls' Middle School by winning both sets.

In the boys' section, both Pui Ching Middle School and Diocesan Boys' School advance to today's quarter finals.

In Monday's first round, St Clare's beat Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School 25-21, 25-14; Tack Ching beat CUHKFAA Chan Chun Ha Secondary School 25-23, 25-22; Holy Trinity College beat TWGH Lo Kong Ting Memorial College 25-18, 25-22; New Method College beat Christian Alliance SW Chan Memorial College 25-23, 25-23; PLK 1983 Board of Directors' College beat Belilios Public School 25-15, 23-25, 16-14; Lui Cheung Kwong Lutheran College beat St Stephen's Girls' College 25-17, 29-27; CCC Kei Long College beat CCC Heep Woh College 25-27, 25-21, 15-13; Sacred Heart beat PLK Lee Shing Pik College 25-12, 17-25, 15-9.

In the boys' section, Pui Ching beat SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School 25-17, 25-10; DBS beat Chiu Lut Sau Memorial Secondary School 25-19, 25-20; Ho Fung College beat SKH Li Fook Hing Secondary School 20-25, 25-19, 15-13; Wa Ying College beat YCH No2 Secondary School 25-17, 28-26, 15-13; TWGH Lo Kon Ting Memorial College beat SKH Lui Ming Choi Secondary School 25-14, 25-6; New Method College beat YCH Lim Por Yen Secondary School 25-17, 25-14; Jockey Club Ti-I College beat Salesian English School 25-20, 25-13; Carmel Divine Grace Foundation Secondary School beat SKH Chan Young Secondary School 25-23, 22-25, 15-11.
