HKBU course director gets top marks for outstanding effort

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) course director Randy Chiu Ki-kwan is the recipient of the Outstanding Human Resource Educational Elite Award for his achievements in human resource education, in terms of both teaching and research.

Dr Chiu is one of two winners from Hong Kong being recognised by the Asia Pacific Human Resource Research Association, Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, Chinese Human Resource Management Association and Smart Fortune (China).

'This award recognises the university's dedication to teaching and the advancement of the human resource profession. We have nurtured some 1,000 talented human resource graduates in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by our school of business,' said Dr Chiu.

Currently serving as course director of the Master of Science in Strategic Human Resources Management programme, Dr Chiu's research interests and academic expertise are in the areas of personnel psychology, management ethics, compensation and benefits, labour relations and human resources management.
