HK death toll rises to 15

One more Hong Kong resident has been confirmed dead in the tsunami, taking the city's death toll to 15.

The Immigration Department refused to reveal the victim's identity, saying only that she was a woman who was killed in Thailand.

Forty-nine Hong Kong residents remain missing, down from Thursday's total of 52. Of those, 32 are in Thailand, three in Indonesia, one in Malaysia and 13 elsewhere.

A government spokesman added that one girl was still being treated in Phuket hospital.

The Immigration Department's hotline (2829 3010) has received 877 inquiries and 1,420 requests for assistance.

The spokesman said the help desk at the Phuket International Airport would close today. The help desk at Bangkok International Airport will continue to be manned.
