IPod owners, take note. Apple may have revolutionised the way we listen to music, but now Bose is making its own contribution. Headphones, cables and adapters could become things of the past with the new Sound Dock digital music system ($2,690), which promises to deliver a 'new standard of audio performance' for iPods and iPod minis. Simply slide your iPod into the dock, turn it on and wait for the clear, smooth beats that will rival any club sound system (or at least come close to it). The secret to such flawless performance, according to Bose, is an integrated signal processing system that automatically adjusts tonal balance, making every song sound normal at any volume.

The convenient docking cradle also charges your iPod while it plays, and the design is so clean and chic it will not look out of place with your Philippe Starck furniture. The system is easy to navigate with simple controls, including a one-button volume control, and there is also an ultra-convenient remote control to save you leaving the comfort of your couch.
