Hunting and Rituals - Treasures from the Ancient Dian Kingdom of Yunnan

Excavations of Dian burial sites from 1955 onwards led to the discovery of more than 30 sites of the Dian kingdom, which reached its peak between the Warring States period and the Western Han dynasty. Tricky Wonderland

The secrets behind the special effects in a range of successful films are exposed in this exhibition. With mirror tricks and featuring the rebuilding of Stanley Kubrick's spaceship used in the 1968 film, 2001: A Space Odyssey. The effect of walking in space was achieved by building a 38-metre rotating Ferris wheel. The actors stood at the bottom while the set rotated around them. Gathering of Earthly Gods

Volcanoes of the Deep Sea

A 44-minute film that follows a team of scientists researching hydrothermal vents in the Atlantic Ocean. The Phantom of the Opera
