STUDENT TEACHERS TAKE CENTRE STAGE

A group of future teachers will stage an English play for secondary school students tonight and tomorrow at the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

Written by playwright Alan Ayckbourn, Ernie's Incredible Illucinations tells the tale of a boy who has many fantasies which take a life of their own.

Comprised of three stories, the first part sees Ernie shooting down a team of Nazi soldiers.

In the second segment, Ernie's 68-year-old aunt beats a world heavyweight boxing champion.

In the third story, adapted from Hamlet, Ernie has an exciting sword fight with Laertes, a Shakespeare character.

Ernies's Incredible Illucinations is on at 7.30pm tonight and 12.30pm tomorrow in lecture theatre C-LP-11 at the Hong Kong Institute of Education's Tai Po campus. Admission is free.
