An exhibition is helping to promote art among the public, while providing a platform for artists to display their talents.

More than 200 artworks created by 91 local artists are on display at the International Finance Centre (IFC) and will be put up for public auction later this month.

The Henderson ArtReach II Art Auction and Exhibition, jointly organised by Henderson Land Group and Hong Kong Ferry, will showcase works ranging from Chinese and Western paintings to sculptures and multimedia art.

Lee Lam-sin, Ha Pik-chuen, Mok Yat-sun, Kam Chi-keung, Lam Ho-yee and former Hong Kong Arts Centre chairman Po Chung are some of the artists taking part in the exhibition.

Henderson and Hong Kong Ferry are jointly bidding as the World City Cultural Park for the West Kowloon Cultural District development contract.

They face competition from Dynamic Star International, a combined effort by Cheung Kong and Sun Hung Kai Properties, as well as Sunny Development, a consortium involving Sino Land, Wharf (Holdings) and Chinese Estates Holdings.

The exhibition is on at 71/F, Two IFC, Central, until February 18 (except February 8-11 and Sundays), while the auction is scheduled for February 18 and 19. Admission is free.
