Some 400 guests were treated to a feast of fine food and champagne as they welcomed in the Year of the Rooster at a lavish bash at the Mandarin Oriental's Clipper Lounge.

Party-goers dressed in their festive finery were welcomed by a traditional Chinese band, before tucking into top culinary delights prepared by the hotel's six restaurants.

The night culminated with a lion dance to usher in luck and good fortune for the assembled, who included: Martin Spurrier from Edelman Public Relations Worldwide; Percy Weatherall from Jardine Matheson; the regional chief executive of Richemont Asia-Pacific, Francis Gouten; TV star and singer Maria Cordero, Lo Kai-yin, Hari Harilela, Aron Harilela and Chan Hay-lin.
