Oil slick
One Italian tradition has it that olive oil is good for the skin. French beauty group L'Occitane has come up with the next best thing - thankfully without the grease. Instead, the cosmetic properties of olive water have been discovered. A natural extract, L'Occitane says it's rich in polyphenols (complex molecules that protect against free radicals), creating a scavenger almost 'twice as powerful as vitamin E'. Combined with hydrogenated AOC olive oil - designed to stimulate micro-circulation and eliminate toxins - the olive skincare products (below) are said to restore radiance and balance. The daily face cleanser is $140/100ml, with the olive water face toner priced at $150/250ml and face scrub mud at $195/100ml. Available at L'Occitane stores.
