City University (CityU) has been named one of China's foremost higher-education institutions, enabling it to recruit 150 high school graduates per year and expand its student recruitment to 13 provinces and four cities on the mainland.

From the next academic year, students from the designated provinces and cities will follow the same procedures used by the mainland's premier institutions in applying for CityU's undergraduate programmes, without filling out CityU's admission application form.

In addition to the candidates' National Joint Entrance Examination results, the university also takes into consideration their intellectual and physical development. It has also set up a new international and non-local students office to provide support for these students and help them adapt to life in Hong Kong.
