Classic hits of a soul legend

Soul and R&B legend Ray Charles may be gone, but his music lives on. Biographical drama Ray, which has just won Jamie Foxx a Best Actor Oscar, pays homage to the life of this talented musician.

Celebrating Charles' legacy with a collection of his most memorable songs, this 17-track Original Motion Picture Soundtrack includes both studio and live recordings of classic Georgia on My Mind, and other hits such as Mess Around, Hit The Road Jack, I've Got A Woman and Let The Good Times Roll. Most of the tracks are from his golden era during the 1950s and 60s.

The audio quality of the live recordings is good despite them being at least 30 years old. Charles' voice sounds like it was recorded yesterday.

His artistry may have virtually defined soul music, but he also made his mark in genres like blues and country. Listening to his singing, you will understand why this man is still so loved and respected by fans around the world.
