Police probe discovery of woman's body in sea
Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found yesterday in the sea off Lung Kwu Chau in the southwest corner of the New Territories. The woman, thought to be aged between 30 and 40, had suffered head wounds and had been dead for three or four days, police said.

Supermarket chain Wellcome has asked its food suppliers to declare whether or not their products contain carcinogenic Sudan dyes, which are banned in food. The request follows the discovery of Sudan IV in a sample of Koon Yick Wah Kee brand of chilli oil taken from a supermarket.

Drain covers stolen
Police are investigating the theft of 10 drain covers from a park in Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. A security guard discovered the theft of the covers, which are worth $500 each.
Truck kills man, 76
A 76-year-old man has died after being hit by a truck at the junction of Ham Tin Street and Tak Wah Street, Tsuen Wan. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call police on 2611 3200 or 2611 3320.
A man posing as a client robbed a 36-year-old prostitute of $2,000 and a mobile phone at knifepoint in a one-woman brothel in San Shing Avenue, Sheung Shui.
