Next stop for James Ellroy of cooking

The influx of big names coming to Hong Kong isn't limited to the film and music industries. Anthony Bourdain, host of A Cook's Tour - seen on CableTV and NOW Broadband TV - will be in Hong Kong for two days to do some filming.

Bourdain, executive chef at Manhattan's Brasserie Les Halles and something of a celebrity chef du jour, shot to fame in 2000 with his book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, a memoir of his 25 years cooking in New York. Since then, rather than fellow celebrity chefs, he has drawn comparisons with Hunter S. Thompson and James Ellroy - yes, he also happens to be a crime novelist. Bourdain will be in town on April 25 and 26. For a chance to win free tickets to dine with him, see the Post's food section on April 17.
