The colour of the foundation should be tested on the upper chest, not the cheek or jaw line.

Primer or moisturiser should be mixed with the foundation to cut the texture in half.

Mixing foundation with a primer gets the same effect as a tinted moisturiser.

You should use an oil-control primer or a water-based foundation in the humid summer months.

A synthetic brush is the best way to apply foundation.

Women with large pores should choose a light tone.


More and heavier is best.

Sponges are the ideal tool for application.

Loose powder on top of foundation will take away the dewy look.

Oil-free foundation is best.
