Updated at 6.33pm:
The Environment, Transport and Works Bureau plans to build a covered footbridge across Pui To Road in Tuen Mun.

A spokesman said on Friday the footbridge would be built to meet traffic needs near West Rail Tuen Mun Station's property development.

The proposed works include a covered footbridge across Pui To Road to connect the future West Rail Tuen Mun Station's property development, closure of part of the carriageway on Pui To Road and conversion into a footpath, and associated drainage works.

A notice of the proposed works was published in the Government Gazette on Friday.

Further details, such as when the bridge would be built and the costs involved, were not available on Friday afternoon.
