Another good cause for Mok

There's evidently a shortage of spokesmen for charities.

CitySeen has long been a fan of the generous Karen Mok Man-wai. But lately the versatile artist has become overexposed, making appearances at almost every charitable event. One moment she's saving black bears, then she's promoting children's rights, warning against colon cancer, animal cruelty... While the public is muddled by her numerous roles, even Mok's agent is confused by the details of who she is representing.

Is it that hard to find a generous person in showbiz?

Mok will be having yet another charitable outing tonight, with former chief secretary Anson Chan Fang On-sang, this time for Enlighten. The charity's executive director, Orla Gilroy, admits she couldn't think of anyone else for the charity ball at Government House. 'They are two most enigmatic women,' she said.

Tonight's ball will raise funds for epilepsy education and promote a children's book about epilepsy, Because We Are Friends.
