Art deco buffs will appreciate Armani Casa's 2005-2006 furniture collection, which borrows motifs from the 1925-1940 decorative style that favoured animal forms, tropical foliage and ziggurats, among other designs. The range also owes a nod to Chinese decor from the 1920s and 30s with its elegant geometric lines.
As usual, colours are rich but subdued and feature black, grey and creamy white, although the look is enlivened with touches of gold, platinum and, in the case of the Tokyo Salone (left), fire-engine red.
The line, prices for which have yet to be fixed, will be available at the end of the year. For details contact Giorgio Armani Hong Kong, tel: 2506 2018.
