The Citigroup Success Fund is calling for grant proposals on non-traditional education programmes.

Together with Hope Worldwide Hong Kong, the fund has sponsored about 150 projects, which have benefited more than 8,000 secondary school students in the past three years.

The fund has given teachers and social workers the opportunity to be creative with students in need of extra attention. The projects aim to help young people overcome learning barriers, raise their self-esteem and have a greater sense of belonging in the community.

Applications to the fund must be made through a teacher or social worker. The deadline for this year is June 10. Visit www.citisuccess.org.hk to download an application form.

About 55 applicants will receive financial assistance of between $5,000 and $15,000 each.
