Curse of the pharaohs expo

An exhibition hosted by National Geographic Channel Asia on the ancient Egyptian king Tutankhamun will be staged at Garden Court in Pacific Place in Admiralty from today until

June 10.

Since the discovery of his tomb in 1922, Tutankhamun's mysterious death and the rumoured 'death curse' on those involved with the tomb discovery have sparked public imagination.

Led by National Geographic explorer-in-residence Zahi Hawass, a team of international scientists examined the mummy of the teenage king, using revolutionary CT-scan imaging.

Visitors will be able to find clues to what caused King Tut's death more than 3,000 years ago, as well as the so-called 'curse of the pharaohs'.

During his stay in Hong Kong, Dr Hawass will also conduct a seminar for University of Hong Kong and Chinese University students.
