Hong Kong celebrities are squeamish when talking to reporters, always worried they will twist their words. We guess it's understandable, as certain publications do tend to alter what celebrities tell them to make their stories juicier.
One of the few people in the entertainment industry who is not afraid to say the first thing that comes to mind is action superstar Jackie Chan. Present him with an opportunity, and he will never fail to tell you his views on issues.
That's why CitySeen was delighted with Jackie's response to our question at the Fakes Cost More awareness drive on Thursday.
We asked him what he would do or say to us if we were operating a fake DVD factory. 'I would take you to jail!' Jackie yelled with a cheeky smile. 'You're not only hurting us, you're hurting your future. If your own son became a movie star or singer, you might stop [making pirated DVDs] but it'll be too late.'
If only other Hong Kong celebrities spoke their minds like you, Jackie, then CitySeen would have a lot more gossip - truthful stuff, I might add - to tell our readers.
