Famiy's Chinese artwork on show

The Chinese painting exhibition Cherry, Plum, Peach and Damson, featuring the works of a family of four, is being held at the Soka Gakkai International of Hong Kong (HKSGI) in Prince Edward.

The father, Lai Ming, is a renowned artist and has had his works exhibited in China, Japan, the United States and England. His wife, Wong Wing-yin, is the chairman of the International Artist Association. Daughter Angela Lai Man-sum and son Andrew Lai Man-hei are also keen painters. More than 160 works are on display.

Li Guikang, deputy director of the Hong Kong liaison office of the Central People's Government, and Tang Hoi-chiu, curator (modern art) of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, attended the opening last week.

The exhibition will run until Sunday at the HKSGI at 101-109 Boundary Street, Prince Edward. Opening hours are 10am to 9am daily. Call 2339 9300 for enquiries.
