SHOW CELEBRATES SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY
The Hong Kong Space Museum is presenting a new sky show, Albert Einstein, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the publication of the famous scientist's theory of special relativity.
The documentary explores the ground-breaking discovery and the life of Einstein who suffered from learning disorders when he was a child.
Yet, in 1905, he published several important findings, including the theory of special relativity, a new concept on gravitation.
The screening is taking place at the museum's Stanley Ho Space Theatre until November 21. Tickets at $24 (front stalls) and $32 (stalls), with half-price concessions for students, are available from Urbtix on 2734 9009.
FEAST FOR MUSIC FANS
A music marathon, organised by the Consulate-General of France and Alliance Francaise, will be held from today until Tuesday throughout Hong Kong.
Launched in France in 1982, Fete de la Musique (World Music Day) is now celebrated in more than 100 countries on June 21, the day which marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere.
The programme features 20 live gigs, including jazz, pop, hip-hop and Chinese music, performed by amateur as well as professional musicians.
