HKIED OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) is awarding more scholarships this year - 23 per cent more than last year with a total value of more than $2.8 million.

The scholarships are offered to students with outstanding academic achievement or who actively take

part in community services or extra-curricular activities.

Among the 12 new scholarships is the HKIEd Alumni Memorial Scholarship established in memory of the four former HKIEd students who died in the Tuen Mun highway accident in July 2003. This scholarship will be awarded annually to four students who are outstanding in innovative teaching or in leadership and community service.
