PLAY CELEBRATES ORDINARY LIVES

Veteran theatre artists Lee Chun-chow and Shaw Mei-kwan will perform in The Last Moment. The play is a celebration of ordinary men through the eyes of a water buffalo and a waiter.

Lee plays the buffalo who leads a quiet, happy life. Shaw plays the poor waiter who dreams of becoming a famous bullfighter. The two meet at a bizarre bullfight, and they discover there is dignity in their trivial lives.

The play is written and directed by Paul Poon Wai-sum, whose works include the stand-up comedy, Man of La Tiger.

The Last Moment will be staged at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre's Studio Theatre from Thursday to Sunday at 8pm, with matinees from Friday to Sunday at 3pm. Tickets at $200 and $150, with half-price concessions for students, are available from Urbtix at 2734 9009.

EXHIBITION BY APA GRADUATES

Graduates of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (APA) will stage an exhibition at the APA's Studio Theatre from Friday until July 8.

The students are from the APA's Academy of Applied Arts. They have been involved in many APA productions and their main responsibility is to transform a bare stage into a colourful setting. The exhibition showcases an array of stage costumes, paintings and props.

Admission is free from 10am to 8pm. For more information, call 2584 8500.
