Some of the 44 keelboats entered in the Sinolink Mangrove West Coast Shenzhen Hong Kong Open Regatta make their way past Clear Water Bay shortly after the start yesterday. The race is a warm-up for an annual event known as the 'Mayor's Cup Regatta' to be launched next year at the invitation of the mayor of Shenzhen to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's reunification with China. The entry list features regular yachts on the Asian circuit including Jelik, Ffree Fire, Mandrake and Jaywalker.
