The cIub's membership, like the society in the United States, is diverse in its racial composition, with an expanding proportion of Asian members, reflecting demographic change in the US.

The club has a policy against discrimination in employment and services, be it on grounds of ethnicity, creed, nationality, religion or sexual orientation.

It has several disabled people on its staff. It has a long list of reciprocal clubs in 21 American states and 15 countries and regions outside Hong Kong and the US.

The management believes in high transparency; all staff are informed about major decisions at the club.
