GRADUATES URGED TO KEEP LEARNING

A Joint Speech Day at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre last week celebrated the graduation of students from parochial schools of St Peter's Church, Aberdeen.

The event's highlight was a speech by Tsui Lap-chee, vice-chancellor of the University of Hong Kong and renowned human geneticist.

Professor Tsui encouraged the students to establish a goal of life-long learning and to pursue excellence. Emphasising the importance of good values, he told the audience to 'hold fast to St Peter's spirit of reflection, perseverance and hard work in all their future endeavours'.

The event also included the presentation of certificates and prizes, performances, speeches, and a religious ceremony.
