Deodorant/Antiperspirant

Sweat is an unavoidable side-effect of summer, but a good deodorant or antiperspirant will help minimise wetness and odour.

Biotherm Deo Pure Antiperspirant Spray (125ml/ $140)

Simple, with almost no fragrance, it passed the ultimate sweat test - a big workout in the gym. Despite being completely covered in sweat, the armpits were left glowing.

Aveda Antiperspirant/ Deodorant for Men (75g/ $120)

The compact size makes it convenient to carry. Its antiperspirant quality is excellent and it has a flowery and natural fragrance. The major letdown is that it initially a bit sticky.

Fancl Deo Crystal AL (115g/ $220)

The crystal is moistened with water before being rubbed on skin and left to dry. When applied correctly, it combats sweat and body odour effectively during the hot summer months. But the stone is not travel-friendly and involves a clumsy application.

Kiehl's Antiperspirant and Deodorant Cream (50ml/ $110)

It's unscented and gentle. The cream absorbs quickly into skin, leaving your underarm feeling soft without any white residue. But since it's a cream, you need to wash your hands first before applying it, which is a bit inconvenient.

Clinique Antiperspirant-Deodorant Roll-on (75ml/ $105)

The roll-on applicator makes it easy and quick to apply. Its transparent formula leaves no white residue, although it has a thick texture. Feels a bit sticky at first and takes some time to dry, but feels comfortable afterwards. Fragrance-free and long lasting.

Lush Aromaco Deodorant Bar (100g/ $65) It has a pleasant smell and, unlike most sprays, contains natural ingredients. Its antiperspirant effect is above average but given that it is a bar, you need a container to store it in.
