INTERACTIVE CONCERT

Veteran comedian Jim Chim will team up with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta in Shortcut to Classical Music Musical Terms 'Therapy' Session II.

In this interactive educational concert, Chim and conductor Yip Wing-sie will give audiences a jumpstart on the musical terms that composers and musicians used. Masterpieces by Tchaikovsky and Dvooak will be featured.

The narration will be conducted in Cantonese. The concert will take place from tomorrow to Saturday at Hong Kong City Hall; from July 29 to 30 at Sha Tin Town Hall, and on July 31 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall.

The concerts will start at 7.30pm with weekend matinees at 3pm.

Tickets are $100 to $220 depending on show dates, with half-price concessions for students, and are available from Urbtix on 2734 9009.

T-SHIRT EXHIBITION

A collection of T-shirts designed by local artists will be on display from today until July 31 at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. The exhibition marks the fifth anniversary of indie music label 89268. The participants include visual artists Chan Fai-hung, Cheung Chi-wai, Peter Ng, Tsang Kin-wah and Kary Ng Ka-wing from rock band Ping Pung.

Local musician Ketchup and hip-hop front man Ghost Style will perform live music and dj at the opening party today at 7.30pm. Admission is free. For more information, call 2396 2608.
