BEACH CARNIVAL
The kick-off carnival for the Sony Handycam Hong Kong Beach Volleyball Tournament (Gold Coast) will take place from 1.30pm to 6pm tomorrow at Old Cafeteria Beach in Gold Coast, Tuen Mun.
Activities include a celebrity match, a professional exhibition match featuring the Hong Kong Beach Volleyball Team, and a swimwear fashion show led by model Sophie Rahman. Other activities include sand sculpture demonstrations, quiz games and prize giveaways. New gadgets from Sony will also be on display at the carnival.

HOT ENTERTAINMENT
Heat Wave Channel, an outdoor entertainment extravanganza organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will take place from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday at Sai Kung Waterfront Park and from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on August 6 and 7 at Stanley Plaza Village Square.
The programmes will be hosted by local DJs Alex Lee and Ricky Fan. There will be a series of live performances, including bands, exotic African drumming and Brazilian dance.
Teenagers should not miss the hip-hop dance showcase, graffiti demonstrations and X-Game demonstrations.
