Recall for cough medicine with wrong label
Recent buyers of 100ml bottles of 'Duro-tuss' cough syrup should check they got the right medicine, health officials warned last night. The importer, 3M Hong Kong Limited, said 80 bottles of Duro-tuss Linctus Forte, which contains 15mg/5ml of pholcodine, had been wrongly packaged as Duro-tuss Linctus Regular, which contains 15mg/15ml. Use of 'Forte' delivered three times more of the active ingredient than 'Regular' and may cause 'drowsiness, confusion and respiratory depression'. A recall had recovered 29 bottles by last night.
The box of the product is printed with the batch number M210C and the bottle is printed with the batch number M300C. 3M has set up a hotline, 2805 8037, for returns. A Health Department hotline, 2319 2839, is also open during office hours.
Former HK goalkeeper arrested after pub fight
A retired football player and his son, 34, were among six men arrested after a fight in a pub in Tsim Sha Tsui. Ho Yung-hing, 57, and his son got into an argument with four customers at the pub in Hau Fook Street at 2am after the son was accused of bumping into the four. A bottle fight broke out. Mr Ho - goalkeeper for the HK League XI that played Brazil's Santos in December 1970 - and his son were treated for facial injuries.
KCR hit by another signal failure
KCR West Rail services were disrupted for 35 minutes when the line suffered its second signal failure in 13 days. The signal failure south of Siu Hong Station at 12.14pm added between five and 15 minutes to journey times between Tuen Mun and Nam Cheong, with passengers waiting an extra two minutes for trains. Workers succeeded in fixing the problem at 12.50pm.
Truck firebombed
Two men firebombed a truck in a car park in Amoy Gardens, Ngau Tau Kok, at 3.30am, then rammed an exit barrier to make their getaway in a stolen car, which was found burning half an hour later in A Kung Kok Street, Ma On Shan.
21 prostitutes held
Twenty-one suspected mainland prostitutes aged between 20 and 43 were rounded up in an 11-hour anti-vice operation on the streets of Yau Ma Tei.

There was no winner of first prize in last night's draw. The numbers were 21, 25, 33, 36, 42 and 48. The extra number was 13. Four tickets each won second prize of $457,575. Third prize paid $49,300.
